The SS–GP 100 Gas Permeameter measures sample permeability to gas (nitrogen or helium) of plug-sized core samples at ambient temperature and moderate confining pressure by the steady-state method. During the measurement, gas can be injected over a wide range of pressures and flow rates. The differential pressure across the core sample is continuously monitored by an inline differential pressure transducer while the gas flow rate is reported by a high-grade mass flow controller.
The unit is connected to a computer for automated data acquisition and control. Also is can identify if it follow the Darcy flow, then the SS-GP 100 performs all data calculations for a direct reading of permeability.
